how to get in shape without really trying:

you can't.
Today I signed up for a 5K on October 26th. The problem with this is that I am severely out of shape. Severely. I enjoy eating very much. Yeah, I walk around sometimes because I'm a college student, but the gym has rarely seen me this semester. On Saturday I went and hiked the Y with my roommates. And I had to rest like 439402349320 times. An old grandpa made it to the top the same time as me. I was sick, but that is a really pathetic excuse. I am still battling my relentless sore throat/cold/cough but tomorrow I am beginning an intense training schedule. Because I do NOT want to take 40 minutes to complete a 5K. Hopefully that thing will happen to me where I will get addicted to racing and then just be this super fit person all the time. Whatever. So yeah, wish me luck as I desperately try to prepare for the looming task ahead.
